pants to poverty/Fire pants

We are a team of 6 students studying level 3 Business Btec diploma course at North Hertfordshire College, Hitchin, Hertfordshire. We have entered a competition called Pants to Poverty. We have entered hoping that this amazing entrepreneuria...l opportunity will help us gain some well needed skills used within the working area, along the way we hope to help the charity as much as we possibly can.
The charity we are raising awareness for is Pants to Poverty. This charity is well known for their fair trade. They quote “we are a truly democratic brand, dedicated to maximizing the social, environmental and financial profit for all of our stakeholders from cotton to bottom”.The company is set in India with one of the poorest poverty populations in the world. Their aim is to sell as many of the pants as possible with all money going to the charity.
This is an amazing opportunity for us and we are very excited for what is to come. We have a number of projects to do within the competition which will be challenging, but we are willing to give it our all. If in fact we do succeed, we will then be entered into a national competition. Whoever is successful at the nationals will gain the opportunity to travel to India to see what all of the hard work goes towards.
